Why are you here on earth? Do
you know what talents God has given you and expects you to use to
accomplish your assignment here?
Some are easy to see, such as being an artist, but
some are harder to discover and much more precious than the visible
ones. Maybe you’re filled
with compassion, a desire to serve or just “know” something that God
wants you to pass on. Fill your place where you are right now.
Wherever you find yourself today, if you’re asking ‘where
does God want me?’ ‘Should
I live here or move?’ ‘Am
I with the right person or should I leave?’
‘Where is the love of my life?’ No matter your question, the answer is the same.
Start today, this moment, where you are:
All the busy “work” of Christians and humans on
this planet are meaningless until they get the basic commandment down.
(Jesus said our “work” for God was to believe on the one He
sent – Jesus.) News
from God today to cheer you: I was concerned because Rod said this month might
be a hard month, as he has no work in sight.
I was praying this morning and as I typed out my prayer and let
God speak back to me, I realized that we are NOT to expect hard times
and poverty. That’s to
take God’s promise of provision and slap Him in the face with it,
rejected. Disbelieved. Speak His words of promise back to Him in
Jesus’ name and let the angels go into action to provide exactly
what you have stated you believed.
Jesus said “Be it unto you according to your faith”, (or your
belief!) God’s Word and the covenant with Abraham (that we
now share with the Jews because of our faith in Jesus), says that our
needs will be met, we will be fed and provided for, we’ll be healed,
our family will be safe and that we’ll have eternal life. Jesus said if we truly believed with all our
hearts, we would never die. Our
work truly IS to believe. It
may take a lifetime to perfect, and it may take longer than our lifetime
if we’re not working on it very hard, but we can rest assured that no
matter what, God has our backs. We
are not subject to the natural laws of this planet when we’re walking
in the Kingdom with Jesus. We
are under supernatural laws of God’s blessings! So I reject that thought of poverty!
In the name of Jesus I accept God’s promise of abundant
provision and THAT is the reality I’m walking in.
It has always worked before and God has never let us down. He is adamant and exact in His statements that He
will supply our needs, He will heal our bodies, He will give us safety
and protection, He will set a table before us even in the presence of
our enemies. He will bless
us and cause us to live in joy and peace.
Peace will be our banner, and satisfaction will be our song.
Satisfied in the Lord and praising His name! Even while we are still in the valley of the shadow
of death, He will provide for us and walk us step by step, as babes,
through rocky places and lead us into blessed meadows, beside still
waters, with abundant and joyful life in them, and lay out a table
spread before us that satisfies all that we could dream of.
He will provide. He
will protect. He will heal. He will fix. He
will be there when we call, before we call out, He knows what we
have need of and has already prepared a rescue.
(Praise God!) His angels have been commissioned to stand at the
ready for the speaking of His word and they will carry out whatever we
ask, in Jesus’ name. If
we ask with faith and belief that all is well and “Daddy” is on the
throne. He’s the richest
king anywhere, and He loves us so much that EVERY single thing we
express a desire to our Father for, if it will not harm us, but do us
good and help us learn and grow closer to His image, then it is granted. I will concern myself with being pure and holy, and
living up to His image by my choices not by any adornment or
affectations. I will remain
submitted to my Father, despite the “boys” (Satan) calling from
outside my window to go off into sin and death (disbelief). Psalm 23:4
“… Even though I walk (now) through the valley
of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me,
your rod and your staff, they comfort me. “
(Psalm 23 below) Today you are walking in the shadow of death, more
than ever before. The TV
screams for you to have faith in the flu and faith in heart disease and
murder, and every threat known to mankind.
They tell you that your mortgage is in danger and your job is in
danger, even if you’ve had no problems before.
They tell you that if you’re out of work, you’re going to
stay out of work, but I have REALLY GREAT NEWS! God never
told us to go get two jobs, to work harder, to earn more money!
NOWHERE in the Bible does it say you’re not working hard
enough, go get more money! Instead,
God tells us to pay our tithe and then stand still and see the glory of
God. He told us not only
will He bless and provide for us but He challenges us – “Prove me
now!” God’s way, the Kingdom way, is to pay your tithe
and God Himself will provide the increase for you. Guess what? It
doesn’t have to come through more money in your paycheck, or lottery
tickets or windfalls. God has a supernatural way (that we’ve seen
happen MANY times), of making the money you have somehow cover all the
need. Sometimes it’s that
the bill is lower than expected. Sometimes
a bill is paid or removed, or some other need that you thought you had
was mitigated and overcome. God will give the rescue but the way it comes will
not be what you expect OR COULD DO ON YOUR OWN. That’s the only way He works so that we don’t get
all proud and say our help was by our own hands. If God
isn’t going to get the glory for it, He won’t get involved. Psalm 23:4 - …”I will fear no evil, for
you are with me, your rod and staff comfort me…” So I asked Him, what is your rod and staff?
Is your rod not your decrees, the arm of your law- your
covenant for me? And
isn’t your staff a walking stick to lean on and to guide me? So the rod represents all the Words and promises He
has spoken, and the instructions to choose life over death.
And as long as I walk within the Kingdom (being also the kingdom
measurements according to my faith), I will have the protection and
blessings of the covenant (to the extent and in the areas that I
believe). (Seek to believe
them all!) Thank you Jesus for revealing this to me!
Since when do I need to fear shadows?
They move along the wall and disappear into the night, and are
burned away by the morning sun. The rod also measures and judges, to see if the
kingdom is being chosen but it is the good arm of the Lord. It is the part that supplies and orders things.
It is my breast to suckle from, and the staff is my mother’s
arms to hold me safe and let me rest.
(Use your heart’s discernment here.) Surely
goodness and love (mercy) will follow me all the days of my life, and I
will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Yes Lord! I
will! Surely, for certain,
absolutely, goodness and mercy and love and provision will follow me (chase
me down, be
there before I get there and all
ready for my needs) all the days of my life (none left out, none waiting for me with evil), and in
response to such an offer, I choose to dwell in the house of the Lord,
forever. My soul answers,
Yes Lord! I will dwell with
you. And this is the whole message of God.
God is good. God wants to establish us and put us in robes, clean us up,
feed us, bring us like babes through the bad places and establish us in
mercy and love and righteousness for the purpose of dwelling with Him
daily. Being His friends. Being His subjects, His children, His family.
God has invited us to His holiday table, reserved only for His
family. (His intimate
family. We are now His
children.) The door is open and Jesus’ arms are stretched
open wide, and He calls to all who would hear His voice today. “Come”
“Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be made white as
snow, and though your burdens have been so heavy, lean on me, and take
on my yoke and my burden instead.
It is light, it is full of life and Light and healing.” “For
I have taken your sins upon my body, and I have established peace for
you and your family. I have
taken your infirmities and sicknesses, your depression, your tendency to
sin, your failures and your shortcomings, and I have nailed them all to
my cross and defeated each one. There
is nothing left that prevents you from coming to me, except your choice. Learn
of me, and choose life. I
have given you everything that you would need to make the decision, to
understand me. I have made
my Words simple enough for children, and I do not ask that you go to
colleges or study hard texts and receive documents on sheepskins to be
worthy to enter my presence and my love.
Instead
I have asked that you come as little children, no more than what you
are, with no more than what you have.
In whatever state you are in, whatever mess your life is in and
no matter who else is against you.
No matter which monsters are at your door, I will rescue you.
Simply say - Jesus! Call
out my name, and say, “Yes I will follow you!”
Call on me, and I will save you. Whosoever
calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” So for me, there is nothing else to DO and nowhere
to GO, and nobody else I have to PLEASE, or BE.
It is ALL taken care of. Jesus
did it all. All the worry,
the work, the fear, the sweating, the crying, the pain, the misery, it
is ALL TAKEN AWAY and nailed to the cross.
Why are we so determined to take it up again and carry our
burdens as martyrs? They
are gone, they no longer exist. They
are dust blown away, and shadows blasted by light.
They are not my problem, nor my load to bear.
I am free. Totally
free. What will I fear today?
Lack of food?
Nope! God is feeding
me from a huge table of goodies, holiday goodies not just ordinary ones!
It’s a feast and I can eat and eat all I want. Poor health? Nope!
God has promised me health and no matter what state I am in, I
can walk in His presence and His presence cleanses me of all
unrighteousness and all of that death stuff and sickness that thought it
had its hands on me. I
thought it had its hands on me, but I was wrong. It was just a shadow. No
matter where I am today, I am in His presence, and therefore, death or
life in the physical world means nothing.
I will not notice the change when I go, I will just be translated
to a closer presence with Him. Lack of money?
Nope! God said pay
your tithes to me and I will blast away your debts and your poverty with
an increase that your barns can’t hold!
Trust me, He said. Prove
me! God I believe you! I hear you and I believe! Running out of Propane to stay warm?
Nope! God said all
my needs and all my supply. He is providing for them all.
Just ask! My God also controls the skies and the weather; He
changes temperature and moves the sun back and forth at will, to do His
purpose. His purpose
according to His own words is to take care of me!! The opinions of other people? No, God is not a respecter of persons and neither am I.
I realize that I am whole and complete in Jesus, and that He
created me in my mother’s womb just exactly as I am.
There is nothing I would change.
If change is needed I am confident the Holy Spirit will change
me, and I only need listen to Him in my heart.
If He does not condemn me (and He doesn’t condemn any of us,
Jesus came to forgive us), then I will not allow another MAN or Satan to
do it for Him! What a mighty God we have to not only make us,
provide for us, look down the road and see what we might need and
provide for every single bit of it in advance. Time is a mystery
to man, for the Bible says that these things were all provided for
before He made the earth. That was before Jesus was even crucified
according to our timetables. God is a supernatural God and He’s given us the
dominion over this planet. He’s
equipped us with special gifts from the Holy Spirit, both natural and
supernatural ones to do the job He put us here to do. What is our work?
Jesus said it is to believe on the One the Father sent.
Himself. Jesus. What is our mission?
To know God, and to make Him be known. What is the greatest commandment?
Jesus said to Love God with all our hearts and souls and minds,
and to love others as we love ourselves. Sadly, many of us today do not love ourselves and
we’re sinning in that too. We
are blinded to the most important information for this planet, and for
this lack of knowledge, God says His people perish. We continually have to start over as babes in
Christ because we keep vomiting up our sins and past, and keep putting
ourselves down, letting Satan lord himself over us. We are stuck in a cycle of
self-loathing-/discovering God’s mercy-/forgiveness-/beginning-/and
self-loathing again. STOP!
Be still! Know the
truth about God and about ourselves. Christ’s
sacrifice WAS SUFFICIENT FOR ALL.
For every sin, for past, present and future.
For every ailment, for every disease, for every depression, for
every anger, for every hurt that somebody did to you, for every fear and
attack from the enemy. There is NOTHING that isn’t provided for and covered by
God’s provision through the cross. And the
enemy that we all quake and fear in the presence of and from the
whisperings and urgings of IS UNDER OUR FEET.
God said it is so! He’s not a liar! So why are we suffering?
Because we are not taking the authority over every situation and
circumstance by speaking in agreement with the already written and
decreed Word of God that we have all we need.
That every provision is made. Just pick a verse you like that is relevant to your
problem and speak it out loud, applying it to yourself with belief that
it IS applied to you. If you don’t know a verse, say this:
“Get thee behind me Satan for Psalm 23 is written and it
applies to me!!” Everything
is covered in that one psalm. Psalm 91 is GREAT too! So again, what is our work and our mission?
To learn to apply God’s Word to every situation that we face,
moment by moment. Not to
step ahead of God but walk beside Him, letting Him lead us by the Holy
Spirit’s urgings. To get to know God intimately and personally so
that we can share what we know! Using
the gifts, talents and passions for things God has given us, find ways
to go about doing what we love, while sharing our testimony with those
God brings to us daily. Don’t worry about going forth to preach, or
building cathedrals and monuments, or converting every soul. Instead perfect your own soul by constant contact with the
Holy Spirit and that Spirit of God will supernaturally draw all people
to you, one at a time, so that the Spirit can minister to them, and
reveal to them their own gifts.
This is a reproduction event, one cell at a time, creating the
body. If you happen to love
preaching and get to do it, then you may speak to a crowd of a thousand,
but the Spirit ministers to each one individually. Work is not a job (j.o.b.) if we’re doing what we
love because we love it. Forget
chasing the money. Let God
bring the money. He
promised us food and clothing, and we don’t have to have shelter, but
He’ll provide that too, or show you how to obtain it. What is the greatest commandment?
To walk in love, absolutely certain of God’s Word being true,
and aware of the precious nature of every person, no matter how
beautiful, ugly, rich or poor, sick or well. No mayor or president is more valuable than any
homeless alcoholic in the street. No
man can puff himself up and become more important than any other.
No title, no diploma and no bank account can do that for you.
No sacrifice can do that for you.
Being Mother Theresa won’t make you more important than the
“lazy” bum who is sitting at home not working.
HE has caught hold of the principles of the kingdom without even
knowing it! If you were to totally understand this yourself,
that YOU are also LOVELY and valuable no matter who you are, what you
look like, what money you have or don’t have, and no matter what you
have previously done, once you take on Jesus you are a part of God and
He is a part of you. If you
understood, you would walk invincible. You are connected to every other person through
Christ’s Spirit and there is nothing to fear.
No one can harm you if you live for Christ and not yourself.
No one can take anything away from you. No time limit or appointment is important so being
late doesn’t exist. Therefore
no road rage or anxiety is necessary.
Being stuck in traffic or waiting in an overcrowded waiting room,
are no longer things to fear. No germs
can hurt you; they die immediately upon contact with your body because
the Holy Spirit of God (meaning LIFE) lives inside you.
Sickness is a function of the curse of the wages of sin – being
death. That no longer
applies to you because you cannot die once you are saved.
You may be translated from the physical world to the spiritual
world, but that is not death. And you may not EVEN undergo that transformation. Who is to say that Jesus didn’t mean that
statement literally – If you believe on me, you shall never die.
What if it’s literal? I
can tell you 2 people who have already had that happen, so there IS a
precedent set. Enoch and
Elijah, neither man died. What if Jesus really intended you to lay down your
burdens and sell off the collections of junk you’ve amassed, and walk
through golden meadows with Him, listening to His voice, learning at His
feet and being fed manna by angels or doves? You say the meadows are covered by snow where you
live? Why is this a
problem? Be a nomad and go
where it is warm. Or put on
a coat and go on a winter adventure.
Why wait to go anywhere, when Christ is there with you as you
read this, knocking on your heart’s door. Talk with Him, let Him in, let today be the first
day of a whole new life for you, once and for all putting aside all the
worries and cares, and get busy with the LIVING that He intended for
you. What if you have physical or material problems that you need help
with right now?
How do I apply the Word to my problem?
When you speak out God’s word about your classification of
problem (for instance “healing” is a broad term that could cover
many problems you may have, even financial), you apply it to you. When you follow in obedience a specific verse to do
something to cure your problem (such as calling the elders of the church
and let them anoint you with oil and pray over you, and the prayer of
faith will save him who is sick), you apply the cure. (James
5:15 below.) The next verse says when you pray also for one
another, you are healed and restored, so pray for others on a regular
basis, heartfelt, fervent prayers expecting God to show up and grant
them. (James
5:16 below.) When you walk with God in child-like trust and
expectation that what He said is true, and seek to be in His presence,
loving Him and following Him, the essence of God, the LIFE of God will
naturally rub off on you and your circumstances will change. When you consistently pray with thanksgiving that
what you have asked for has been done, recognizing that all things are
done first in the Spirit world and then in the Material world, and
acknowledge that any moment it will show up completely in the physical
world, you apply the Word to your situation through gratitude. Know that EVERY SINGLE problem you face has a
solution and an answer and the answer is found in God’s hands. He will bring you through it, transform you and any other
person involved, or arrange the people and things in your life to make
the good abound and give you freedom. If you are in a physical prison with real bars and
a sentence, you may be set free, or you may be right where God wants you
to be to fulfill your mission. Your
freedom begins when you decide that you will submit to God whatever is
His plan for you. Once
that’s done and settled in your heart, God can be free to move on your
behalf. One of the strangest secrets of all spiritual principles is
that the thing you are asking for must be released for it to come to
you. Whatever you chase
runs away, but when you stop chasing it, it turns to embrace you. Life is relatively short in human beings, compared to our spirit selves that will live forever, or even for turtles that may live well over a hundred years. The time you waste in angst over your situation is time lost that you’ll regret later. Make the very most of whatever your situation right where you are today. Not just the days, but the seconds as well. The thoughts, and the space between the thoughts. Claim them, own them, admit to them, and release them into space. God bless you! Psalm 23 1 The
LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want.
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, Footnotes:
[a] Psalm 23:4 Or through the darkest
valley James 5:15
And
the prayer [that is] of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord
will restore him; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. James 5:16 Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
