When you are praying for help, when you're in pain or sick, and help doesn't seem to be coming, hold on tight! Don't give up! Jesus said over and over "Ask anything in my name and I will do it" if you believe. So stand on what He promised. KNOW what He promised.

(John 14:13,14 “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”)

We can say to the Lord…

(Psalms 119:116 “Uphold me according to thy word that I may live.”)

(Psalms 46:1 “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”)

(Psalms 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the LORD and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”)

(Psalms 25:20 “O keep my soul and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee.”)

(Revelation 12:11 “They overcame him [the devil] by the blood of the Lamb; and by the word of their testimony.”)

We want to know why there is a delay in help coming. Why must we suffer? But take comfort in knowing that GOD KNOWS why.

He knows what this time is accomplishing and that NOTHING is wasted. Every time His word goes forth from our mouths, it accomplishes something as it did for Him when He spoke them.

(Isaiah 55:11 “So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void…and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”)

(Psalms 50:14-15 “Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon Me in the day of trouble and I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me.”)

(Hebrews 13:8 “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.”)

(Matthew 6:33 “But seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”)

(Philippians 4:19 “But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”)

There was an example given in the Bible about an angel that was sent to help Daniel but was delayed by fallen angels for two weeks. Finally a stronger angel was sent to join the fight and the message got through. I’m sure God knew what was happening and the delay was approved or at least ok with God, because every single thing in our lives works with God’s plan for us.

If your help is slow coming, don’t give up faith, cry out louder and believe. Go ahead and ACT as if your help had come.

When my mother needed food, she’d sit down and make out her grocery list as if she had money, and God would send her the way to get it.

One time a stranger knocked on her door and said, “God told me to come give you this money.” He also gave her a small cross necklace with it. This method has always worked for me too. Mom used to say, “Pray for rain and get out your umbrella.”

Walk it out, behave as if it is so, and help will arrive in time. Know that the delay is working the miracle that God has in store for you!

Do what you know to do. Do your work, say your prayers, be sure to praise God to lift your spirits and be infused with His power and peace. Then watch guard over your words. Speak only words that agree with what you are asking God for. Repeat the verses that promise your help, and claim they are at work now in your life.

We can say to the Lord…

Jesus, I am an overcomer, and I triumph over this situation because of YOUR blood that was shed for me. My testimony is that I stand on your word and I know it will never fail because you are perfect.

(Psalms 84:11 “No good thing will He withhold from them that walk uprightly.”)

We were bought with the price of Christ's blood, and in exchange for what He's done for us, we pledged ourselves to Him and His purpose. We are not here for a vacation or to build an empire. We are here to walk humbly with God, gathering the lost sheep by teaching about Jesus and demonstrating His love in action every day in small ways.

It's not about joining big organizations and being "busy" with work, it's about spending time in God's presence so you GLOW with Christ's glory and grace and that makes people hunger to know Him.

Don’t be deceived by the traditions of men. Attending a nice church with lots of youth programs or outreach programs is not the same thing as spending time with God. Programs don’t save people. The Holy Spirit draws them with a holy aroma of love, and that can only be transferred one to one, from someone who has spent time in God’s presence and is willing to share from their heart.
